Adding Motion Effects

The first technique shown here is very popular for photos taken for editorial purposes (for example, if you're shooting a CEO for a magazine or newspaper article about his company). It's also popular in portraits, because the effect leaves the subject totally in focus but adds movement through the rest of the photo. In the second technique, I'll show you another motion effect that you see everywhere—a massive zoom blur. Both effects are so simple to apply that you're going to wonder, “Is that all there is to it?” Yup, that's all there is to it.
