Lesson 5. Using Photos in Other Forms > Project 5: Printing a contact sheet

Project 5: Printing a contact sheet

Here’s a popular feature that helps you identify images in a catalog. A printed contact sheet can be a great time saver when you store your images on CDs, helping you identify in a glance which pictures you’ve stored on the CD.

1.
In Organizer, select the Find boxes for the Lesson 5 and Project 5 tags. (The thumbnails that appear are the same six images tagged for Project 4 in this lesson.)

2.
Choose Edit > Select All, and then choose File > Print.

3.
In the Print Photos dialog box, do the following:

  • For (1) Select Printer, select an available printer.

  • For (2) Select Type Of Print, choose Contact Sheet from the pop-up menu.

  • For (3) Select A Layout, type or click the arrows to change the number of thumbnails per row. Then, under Add A Text Label, select the items you want to appear below each thumbnail.

4.
(Optional) Do either or both of the following:

  • In the lower left area of the Print Photos dialog box, click Add. Select the Entire Catalog option, and then select more images to add to your contact sheet. Click OK to close the Add Photos dialog box.

  • Select a thumbnail on the left side of the Print Photos dialog box for a picture you want to exclude, and then click Remove Selected Items () to remove that image from the contact sheet.

Note

If you want to change the paper size, click Page Setup and use the Paper Size options.

5.
When you are finished, do one of the following:

  • Click Print.

  • Click Cancel to close the dialog box without printing.
