Chapter 6. Using the Standard Photo Editor > The Standard Edit Interface

The Standard Edit Interface

The Standard Edit interface is the most complex part of Elements. This section describes the various parts of the interface, how to customize it for your needs, and some key concepts for making the most of the Editor.

Figure 6.4 shows the Standard Edit window. Like in the Quick Fix interface, the tools are on the left, the Options bar provides controls specific to the selected tool, and the Photo Bin is on the bottom. The biggest difference, aside from a greater number of tools, is in the right pane—the Palette Bin—which holds a flexible set of palettes instead of the limited set used in Quick Fix.
