Assigning Titles to Photos

Digital cameras assign sequential numeric names to photos, but iPhoto makes it easy to add your own titles. You can search for text in titles, and iPhoto can use the titles when you design books or publish to Apple’s .Mac HomePage service.

To assign automatic titles to photos:

1.
Select one or more photos, and from the hierarchical Set Title To menu available either from the Edit menu or by -clicking the photos, choose Empty, Roll Info, Filename, or Date/Time (Figure 3.27).

If you chose Date/Time, use the dialog that appears to set the date and time format used for the title (Figure 3.28). iPhoto changes the title appropriately.
