Optimizing a GIF image

Now, you’ll optimize an image that has been stylized into stretches of flat color; that is, areas where the adjacent pixels have identical RGB color values. You’ll optimize this image in GIF format and compare the results of different palette and dither settings. Although you could do this entire section in Photoshop, you’ll use ImageReady.

Photoshop and ImageReady share many features, but there are certain tasks you can do in Photoshop that are not possible in ImageReady, and vice versa. Other tasks are merely more appropriately done in one application or the other.
