Starting Adobe Photoshop and Adobe ImageReady

You start Photoshop and ImageReady just as you would most software applications.

To start Adobe Photoshop or ImageReady in Windows

1.
Choose Start > Programs > Adobe > Photoshop CS or choose Start > Programs > Adobe > ImageReady CS.

If you have deleted the preferences file, a message appears asking if you want to edit your color settings.

2.
Click No to close the message without editing your color settings.

You’ll learn more about calibrating a monitor, later. (See Lesson 19, “Setting Up Your Monitor for Color Management,” in this book.)

3.
In the Welcome Screen, select Close.

To start Adobe Photoshop or Adobe ImageReady in Mac OS

If you have deleted the preferences file, a message appears asking if you want to edit your color settings.

2.
Click No to close the message without editing your color settings.

You’ll learn more about calibrating a monitor, later. (See Lesson 19, “Setting Up Your Monitor for Color Management,” in this book.)

3.
In the Welcome Screen, select Close.
