Chapter 16. Paths/Shapes

Photoshop’s pen tools and shape tools create precise vector shapes, called paths, that consist of anchor points connected by curved or straight line segments . Before drawing a path, you’ll decide whether you want to click the first button on the options bar for your pen tool to create a shape layer or click the second button to create a work path. Both kinds of paths can be reshaped and filled.
