Chapter 19. Liquify > To return individual unfrozen areas to their initial stat...

To return individual unfrozen areas to their initial state:

1.
In the Liquify dialog box, choose Mode: Revert from the pop-up menu in the Reconstruction area.

2.
Choose the Reconstruct tool (E), then click and hold on, or drag over, the areas you want to restore. The restoration happens more quickly at the center of the brush cursor.

To learn about the other Reconstruction modes, see the following page.

Perhaps as part of your use of the Liquify command you have frozen an area or areas to which you have applied distortion. Using the Reconstruct tool, you can then extend the distortion from the frozen areas into unfrozen areas in interesting ways. You can also use this tool to sample a distortion pattern from one part of the image and apply it to another part of the image.
