Chapter 19. Liquify

Chapter 19. Liquify

The liquify command lets you twist, warp, stretch, and otherwise distort all or part of an image layer. Like the Extract command, Liquify gives you a fullsize preview right in the dialog box . You apply the distortion (or reconstruction) with a Liquify tool , whose size and pressure are adjustable (like the brushes in the rest of Photoshop), and you can also use the brush to freeze parts of the image to protect them from distortion, as you would use a mask. You can undo the havoc you have wrought, partially or completely, with the Reconstruct tool. The edits become permanent when you click OK.
