Using the Hints Palette

The Hints palette is a handy, compact help window that introduces each tool and palette and displays a brief description of its use and function.

To use the Hints palette:

1.
In the palette well, click the Hints tab; or choose Window > Hints (Figure 1.54).

Position the pointer over a tool or palette; then look at the Hints palette to see the description of that item (Figure 1.55).

3.
Click the More button; then choose Help from the palette menu to get more detailed information on the tool or palette (Figure 1.56).

Choosing Help from the palette menu opens the Photoshop Elements’ help system directly to the page for that tool or palette.
