Working with Palettes

Photoshop Elements offers 11 palettes, all of which are accessible from the palette well and the desktop. They can be used as stand-alone tools, or you can combine several palettes to better organize your workflow. They can be both a blessing and a curse, allowing you to customize your workspace on the one hand, or, if you go overboard in displaying them, taking up so much space that you can’t see your image. Many palettes include handy drop-down menus, located in the upper right corner, that allow you to perform additional tasks directly from the palette.

To display a palette:
