Working with Selections

Once you made a selection, there are all sorts of things you can do with it. For instance, you might want to move the selection, so that it is exactly over a certain area, without disturbing the pixels beneath it. You can move both the selection and the image. Finally, you can simultaneously move the selection and copy the image.

To move a selection:

1.
With one of the bitmap selection tools chosen, move the cursor within the marching ants selection. The cursor changes to the move selection cursor 26.

2.
Drag the selection to a new position.
