Chapter 10. TEXT > Working with Text Blocks

Working with Text Blocks

Once text is in a text block, you do not have to open the Text Editor to make certain formatting changes. You can change the text attributes, fill, stroke, or effects applied to the text block as a whole.

To modify text inside a text block:

1.
Drag any of the text block handles to rewrap the text within the block 23.

Figure 23. Drag the tect block handles to change the way the text wraps within the block.

2.
With the text block selected, choose any of the following commands:

  • Text > Font lets you change the typeface.

  • Text > Size lets you change the point size.

  • Text > Style lets you apply one of the electronic styles such as bold or italic.

  • Text > Alignment lets you apply one of the horizontal or vertical alignment settings.

Tip

You cannot apply the changes to just some of the text, only to the entire block.

Tip

You can also select multiple text blocks and apply changes to them all.
