Chapter 8. STROKES

Chapter 8. STROKES

In addition to fills, Macromedia Fireworks also lets you change the appearance of objects by applying a stroke to the edge of the path. In an ordinary vector program, strokes are limited to just colors or dashes. In Fireworks, however, strokes are much more versatile.

Fireworks lets you set strokes to resemble all sorts of natural media such as paint brushes, crayons, chalk, pencils, oils—even toothpaste and confetti! You can also apply textures to strokes for even more varied appearances.

Finally, you can set strokes in Fireworks so that they work with pressure-sensitive tablets. You can also simulate the look of a tablet, even if you work with a mouse.
