Chapter 5. SELECTING PATHS > Working with Groups

Working with Groups

If you have a graphic that consists of several objects and text, you may find it easier to select them all together as a unit, or group.

To group selected objects:

1.
Select two or more objects.

2.
Choose Modify > Group. Small anchor points appear around the objects indicating that they are a group 13.

Figure 13. Selected ungrouped objects (left) display their individual anchor points. Selected grouped objects display four points around the items in the group.

Tip

Fireworks lets you group a single object. This lets you select the object without highlighting its path.

3.
You can add objects to the group by selecting the group and additional objects and then choosing the Group command again.
