Chapter 7. FILLS > Using Textures

Using Textures

Textures change the intensity of fills. You can apply textures to any of the fills—solids, patterns, or gradients. Once a texture is applied to a fill, you can then change the intensity of the texture.

To apply a texture to a fill:

1.
Choose one of the textures from the Texture pop-up list 23.

Tip

There is always a texture applied to every fill. However, with an intensity of 0% the effect of the texture is not visible.

2.
Use the slider or enter a number in the Intensity field to see the effects of the texture on the fill 24.

3.
Check Transparent to allow background objects to appear in the light-colored areas of the texture 25.
