Chapter 19. BEHAVIORS > Working with the Behaviors Panel.

Working with the Behaviors Panel.

The Behaviors panel gives you still more control over behaviors. For instance, you may want a Swap Image behavior to be activated by a mouse click rather than moving the mouse over the image.

To modify the swap image events:

1.
Select the hotspot or slice object that triggers the change.

2.
Select the behavior in the Behaviors panel. A small triangle control appears in the Events column.

3.
Click the Events triangle control. This opens the Events list 43.

Figure 43. The Events list allows you to choose which mouse action will trigger the behavior.

4.
Choose the type of Mouse action that should trigger the behavior from the following:

  • onMouseOver triggers the action as the mouse moves inside the hotspot area.

  • onMouseOut triggers the action as the mouse leaves the hotspot area.

  • onClick triggers the action when the mouse button is clicked inside the hotspot area.

  • onLoad automatically triggers the action as the images are loaded.

Tip

The custom event appears in the Behaviors panel 44.

Figure 44. You can set your own custom event for a Swap Image Behavior.
