Editing Text

The Character and Paragraph palettes offer a wide range of choices for editing text (Figure 14.3). But before you start messing with these settings, you'll need to highlight the text you would like to edit. You can do this by dragging across a range of text or by typing Command-A (Macintosh) or Ctrl-A (Windows) to select all the text. The Character palette will work exclusively on the text that is highlighted, whereas the Paragraph palette will work on entire paragraphs regardless of whether all the text is selected.
