Closing Thoughts

The majority of popular Web sites use slicing to make sure the graphics are optimized using the correct file formats (which we'll learn about in Chapter 18), and they use rollovers to enhance the user's navigational experience. If you work regularly with Web graphics, these techniques should become second nature to you, and even though this may not be the “fun” part of designing, the skills you gain from this chapter should be included in your inventory of essential tools for your Web work.
