Chapter 19. LIQUIFY

Chapter 19. LIQUIFY

ONE OF THE NEW FEATURES in Photoshop 6 is the Liquify command. This command lets you twist, warp, stretch, and otherwise distort an image layer. Like the Extract command, the Liquify command gives you a full-size preview right in the dialog box . You apply the distortion (or reconstruction) with a brush, whose size and pressure are adjustable (like the brushes in the rest of Photoshop), and you can also use the brush to Freeze parts of the image to protect them from distortion, like masking. You can undo the havoc you have wrought, partially or completely, with the Reconstruct tool. The changes aren't permanent until you click the OK button to close the box.
