A Whole New Way of Making an Image Web-Ready

Now that you have enough information to decide what format you want to use, let's look at how to create GIFs and JPEGs. There are several methods; only the best method will be discussed here. This is Photoshop's best feature. It's amazing, especially if you've created GIFs or JPEGs in older versions or other applications. You will love this. Photoshop took the “Save for Web” out of ImageReady and put it right into Photoshop. It no longer opens another program just to save for the Web.

Let's start with the Photoshop image of a headline for the StichStyle online fashion magazine. The header is currently in its own file called stichsyle_logo.psd on the Web. You can also just create a new document and paste in the existing logo from the Home page you've been working on. We'll save this as a GIF file because it meets all the criteria of what images work best as GIFs.
