Chapter 5. Advanced Altering Photos > Creating Background Images

Creating Background Images

So far you've fixed red eyes, eyeglass glare, errant lapel pins, facial tones and sweater rips. You get back to your desk and see that there is a Post-it note from the Editor that says, “I'm seeing several different backdrops for the Home page in these photos.” You need to make them all the same. You decide to create a new backdrop and put it behind the photograph.

If you have access to any stock photography books or online stock photography, take a look and see if they have a textured piece of art that will work for your background needs. It may be worth the nominal fee you pay for rights to the texture to use one. If you find one, great; if not, create a new one.
