Step 2:. List Information Anxiety Relief Goals

The point of this step is to spell out and clearly identify what would make you feel better when it comes to managing information. Check ( ) those listed below that apply to you, and add as many others as you want.



Learn how to find quality data and recognize useless information.

Find a way to manage mail systems: Get rid of (or at least reduce) the amount of unwanted or unnecessary e-mail (spam), voice mail, and junk paper mail.

Do one thing at a time, and do it right, rather than do several things at once (multi-tasking) poorly.

Unplug from some of the electronics in my life—at least some of the time.

Dig out from the mountain of paper I’m under.

Have enough time to think about and reflect on new information before making a decision.

Separate “home” from “office.” Limit the time I spend working, when I am supposed to be off, wherever I am.
