Chapter 27. Applying What You’ve Learned

This section contains worksheets which will help you apply time management principles and techniques to your own situation. To complete this section, you need to do the following:

  1. Gather Data: Keep a daily time log for one week similar to the one shown. This will provide accurate information for you to improve your use of time. Be honest—and attentive—to detail.

  2. Analyze Your Use of Time: Working with the data gathered, analyze your current use of time. List opportunities for improvement.

  3. Develop Action Plans: From your analysis, develop specific action plans to bring about the desired improvement in your use of time.

  4. Follow-Up: Six weeks after beginning your time management improvement effort, complete the Progress Survey to assess your progress, and determine what work still needs to be done.
