94 Get In Touch with Your Mood Notice how you feel. Survey your body and emotions. Using a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 being "very negative," and 10 being "very positive," rate how you feel right now. My mood rating _ Make your mind blank-a blank mind contains no thoughts, no images, no colors. Nothing at all. Keep your mind blank for 60 seconds. What happened? Did thoughts intrude and images scurry by? It is impossible for most people to make their minds blank without intensive mental training. Your mind is constantly filled with thoughts and images. Recall an unpleasant situation. For 60 seconds, project yourself back into that scene. Make it as vivid as possible. Notice how your body feels and how you respond. Rate your mood again, using the same 1 to 10 scale. My mood rating: _
