31 Step 3: Observe the Doing of the Goal State Close your eyes and breathe deeply until you feel calm and relaxed. Now imagine yourself in the goal state-that time in the future when you have achieved your goal. Don't worry about how you'll achieve the goal, just imagine the time when the goal has been achieved. What does the goal state look like? What are you doing? Look for actions and outcomes. What are others doing? What resources are used? What money? What people are involved? What technology? Just study the details of the goal state. List anything you saw when imagining the goal state-especially anything that you didn't expect. Finally, describe how youfelt when imagining yourself in the goal state.
