69 ~ Know What You Need. It is difficult to communicate what you need if you don't know what it is. And how will you know when you've gotten it? Take the time to think through what information, advice or referral would be helpful before asking someone for assistance. Identify Who Could Help. Think through your contacts and identify who might be able to provide the information or advice you need. Include people who might be able to connect you with someone else who can help you. ~ What I Need Who Might Help ~ Get The Word Out. Tell people what you are looking for. Don't be shy. Let people know what you need: "I'm looking for a , in case any of you know of one" or "If you come across any , let me know." Express Appreciation. When someone gives you needed information or a valuable contact, thank him or her. People like to be appreciated.
