Chapter 43. A Friendly Reminder

The first step you take in carrying out a plan of action is often the most important one. It can help overcome the inertia that has held you back in the past, and it can lead you into a continuous pattern of growth and development.

A leading task (page 66, Implementation) is one that breaks the shackles of inertia and gets you involved right away in satisfying a goal. It could be something as simple as sharpening your pencil before you begin a report. Or it could be looking up the addresses and phone numbers of the new clients you’re going to call on.
