Chapter 31. Manage Your Time

Time gives substance to your plans. It tells you when some things ought to be done, and it reminds you when it’s too late to do others. If you don’t have a calendar to guide your efforts, your plans will seem like meaningless meanderings.

Manage time like money. Keep track of what you use, and balance your calendar the way you balance your checkbook. Know how much you can do in a specified time. Set aside prime time for the really important tasks. Maintain a tight schedule to keep from dawdling and procrastinating. Consolidate your efforts in the time you have, then watch your productivity go up.
