MEMORY PEGS—AN EXERCISE

In the following example and exercise you will be asked to develop 20 pegs. The reason for 20 pegs is because 10 won’t stretch your ability and more than 20 is more than you probably will need.

For illustration, let’s assume you select 20 household objects found in your living area. First you should draw a floor plan of your house or apartment. Next you should decide what would be the most logical sequence walk through this area. For example, it might be logical for you to start in your kitchen, then go to the dining room, living room, hall, bathroom, family room and bedroom, in that sequence. You should select objects in each room that are easiest for you to remember. For example:
