A BASIC MEMORY RULE

You can remember any new piece of information more easily if you can associate it with something you already know. For example:

  • To remember the notes in the treble clef of a musical staff—learn the sentence, Every Good Boy Does Fine (E. G, B. D, F).

  • To spell the word piece—think of the phrase, “a piece of pie.”

  • To recall the shape of Italy—think of a boot.
