5.. INTENTION TO REMEMBER

We are more likely to recall something when we intend to remember it. When this happens, it increases our “original awareness.” It helps when we concentrate and observe with the purpose of remembering information for a long period of time. The next time you are reading a report, read with a purpose. Note the most important point covered in each paragraph. Play a game with yourself. In each remembering situation consciously keep track of how many things you remember. By doing this over a period of time, you will develop a habit of “intending to remember.”
