Explanation

Filing affects your productivity because it eliminates wasting time looking for important documents. You might file items because you think they are important and that you’ll need them later. However, the way you file can either waste or save your time. If you file almost every piece of paper that crosses your desk, you’ll waste time sorting through all of your information trying to find what you need.
