Learning to listen effectively is one of the most powerful ways to succeed personally, and it also helps you work as productively as you can.When listening, you should focus all of your attention on what the speaker is saying. Many people believe that they are able to do two or three things at the same time. This might be true, but, as a listener, you should be aware that focusing on one thing at a time ensures that you’ll more effectively internalize the information being given to you. You should take the time to focus on what people say to you or be prepared to suffer the consequences of miscommunication.
