Make Your Priority B List As you know by now, trying to change too many aspects of your behavior at once is a bad idea. Trying to quit smoking, lose weight, start a business, and renovate your kitchen simultaneously, for example, is not only masochism, it's also a sure way to accomplish none of those tasks. That's why I recommended that you choose no more than two major procrastination priorities to work on first. Action Tactic If for some reason you cannot take the time now to schedule all of the steps or subtasks required for overcoming your procrastination priority, at least schedule a block of time when you will plan the project and fill in those dates. When it comes to simple, fairly mundane tasks, however, you can probably handle at least a few of those while working on the bigger issues. Clearing the trash out of the car when you get home every evening or taking clothes out of the dryer before they get wrinkled are fairly minor- league issues. What I want you to do now is to look back over all the items you checked off in the Procrastination Hot Spots Checklist and choose anywhere from 5 to 10 minor-league items that you would like to work on in the near future.
