A Crash Course in Getting Organized 97 Quicksand! Make sure that all other members of your household know where various items belong. In an emergency, it does no good for you to be the only one who knows that the flashlight is kept in the drawer to the left of the dishwasher. Getting annoyed yet? How long did it take you to think of where those things are? Too long? Maybe it wasn't merely a question of needing time to remember; you may have had no idea at all of where some of them could be. That list represents just a sampling of the sorts of items you need to be able to find without a mo- ment's hesitation. Some are more important than others.
