Reprogramming Yourself

Much of our original psychological programming has been with us from childhood and prompts our nonassertive, assertive, and aggressive behaviors. Unlike a computer, which does not have to “unlearn” old habits, a person cannot be totally reprogrammed. While you can’t remove your original programming, you can insert some new programming to counteract it.

With people, new programming must be done gradually and the new “program” must be run numerous times before things become automatic. It can be done, however!
