Chapter 28. Counseling Strategy

No question about it, Wayne is the best quarterback Valley High has had in a decade. But the publicity has apparently inflated his ego. As a result, Wayne is no longer a good team player: He is frequently late to practice and resentment against Wayne among team players is growing.

With league playoffs just two weeks away (Valley High has already qualified), Coach Jennings is disturbed. Without Wayne their chances are poor. However, unless Wayne changes his attitude, the rest of the team may not perform to its potential. After thinking it over, the coach decides on a strategy.
