Properly communicated criticism can be constructive and valid. Feedback can help relationships and help you grow. When you respond to criticism by asking questions, you are better able to assess what the critic is really saying. You are less likely to become angry over something you didn’t understand. Sometimes a critical statement means something other than what the words convey. At the heart of the criticism, there may be feelings that it is important for you to understand.
