Hear Yourself Feel

If you don’t like to write, you may want to express yourself on a tape recorder. It has the same benefits as writing, with the additional benefit of being able to hear the pain and hurt in your voice. This allows the emotion to surface. There is no threat here, and you can always erase the tape.

Remember that you are responsible for your pain. These are not exercises to establish fault or blame. You are the only one who really feels your hurt, and you’re the only one who can change it.
