Chapter 12. Can You Stop Procrastinating? > Don’t Postpone this Rating

Don’t Postpone this Rating

You have now appraised your personal and career status in eleven significant areas. It is time for you to rate yourself on how much initiative you normally demonstrate. Obviously, if you are known as a procrastinator you deserve a low rating (5 or under) on this scale. But if you are not a procrastinator, how should you rate yourself?

  • If you feel you could modestly improve your present level of initiative, circle the 5 or 6.

  • If you are a real “self-starter” but could still demonstrate more initiative, circle the 7 or 8.

  • If you rarely procrastinate and have the reputation as a “doer” with great follow-through, circle the 9 or 10.
