Assertiveness Self-Improvement Scale

It may be more difficult to rate yourself on assertiveness than any of the other eleven factors involved in the profile. Why? Because you circle the highest number only if you feel you have the exact balance between aggressiveness and nonassertiveness. For example, if you frequently demonstrate aggressive behavior (such as getting emotionally involved to the point you over-talk, push people around, or generally disregard the needs of others), you should not circle any number higher than a 5. On the other hand, if you are nonassertive so that you are often ignored while others are consulted, here, again you should not circle any number higher than a 5.

However, if you sincerely believe you are not nonassertive and not aggressive, you can rate yourself somewhere above 5.
