To get you started, this section takes you through a few of my favorite DOSKEY macros.

The first example uses the fact that, as mentioned earlier, Windows Vista represents the current directory’s parent with the double dot symbol (..). One way this comes in handy is to use the following command to change quickly to the parent directory:
