Chapter 18. Exploring the Web with Inter... > Setting Internet Explorer Options

Setting Internet Explorer Options

You had a brief introduction to the Internet Options dialog box in the previous section. However, this dialog box is loaded with useful options and settings that enable you to control dozens of aspects of Internet Explorer’s behavior and look. These include cosmetic options such as the fonts and colors used by the program, but also more important concerns, such as your home page and the level of security that Internet Explorer uses. To display these options, you have several ways to proceed:

  • In Internet Explorer, select Tools, Internet Options.

  • Select Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet, Internet Options.

  • Select Start, right-click the Internet icon, and then click Internet Properties.
