Piping Commands

Piping Commands

Piping is a technique that combines both input and output redirection. Using the pipe operator (|), the output of one command is captured and sent as input to another command. For example, using MEM with the /C or /D switch usually results in more than one screen of data. MEM has a /P switch to pause the output, but you can also pipe it to the MORE command:

mem /c | more
