If you check this checkbox, each movie that you open will appear in a new QuickTime Player window rather than replacing the movie in the current player window. When you edit movies, you will probably have several open at the same time, so you should check this checkbox so that you don't have to keep opening and closing the movies with which you are working. Automatically play movies when opened. If you check this checkbox, movies will begin to play as soon as you open them. When you are editing movies, this setting can interfere with your work, so I recommend that you leave this preference unchecked.
