292 Chapter 17. Putting Your Projects on CD Most modern Macs include a drive that enables you to burn your own CDs. CDs are a great way to distribute your digital lifestyle projects for several reasons: · CD-R discs are cheap. If you pay attention, you can pick up blank CD-R media for less than $0.25 per disc! · CD players are common. Almost everyone who has a computer will be able to experience the content that you put on a CD. Since Mac OS X and the digital lifestyle applications all support standard formats, you don't have to be concerned about what kind of computer is used to view your content either. · CDs are easy to create. Because you can burn CDs directly from the Mac OS X desktop, you don't need to mess around with any dedicated CD burning applications. You can create a CD by simply dragging files onto a blank CD and then burning it. Or you can use iTunes to burn a CD directly. Putting your projects on a CD does have a couple of downsides that you need to keep in mind.
