Sharing Files, Folders, and Volumes

Mac OS X provides out-of-the-box support for all of the popular file-sharing protocols that I’m aware of, including cutting-edge and system-independent protocols such as WebDAV, without requiring third-party software packages.

It’s all well and good to be able to access shared directories and volumes that other people have made available on the network, but the real fun is being able to quickly and easily export volumes and directories from your own OS X system.
