Changing a Finder Window View

By default, Mac OS X Version 10.3 represents disks, files, and folders as large icons within a Finder window. This default view is called the icon view. You can change the way a Finder window lists its contents so that you can work in the most convenient view. In addition to the icon view, you can choose the list view, which presents a single list of file and folder names along with brief information about the file; or the column view, which illustrates the path or various folders within which the currently selected file or folder is located. The steps that follow show you how to choose a particular view.
