Setting Application Preferences

In Chapter 9, “Changing Essential System Preferences,” you’ll learn about a number of the preferences that you can set to control how Mac OS X Version 10.3 operates. Similarly, many applications offer a number of preferences that enable you to set basic parameters about how the application works, as the following example illustrates.

NOTE

To start TextEdit, for example, click on Applications in a Finder window Sidebar. Scroll down in the window; then double-click on the TextEdit icon.
